Established in 1998, the Women’s Japan Basketball League (W-League) is a professional sports league with 13 teams across Japan. The Tokyo Haneda Vickies, a team based in the city’s Ota Ward, Tokyo, has a mission to bring the community together and enhance everyone’s positivity. Accordingly, it is a basketball club that seeks to interact with many people by working with the local community. When not playing W-League games, the team focuses on community contribution efforts such as providing basketball workshops at schools and sports clubs, and participating in community events.
At the Ryoyo Group, we feel a strong affinity for the team’s mission, so we signed a sponsorship agreement with the Vickies.
By supporting this team, we are helping to promote the sport of basketball and to revitalize communities, while also reinforcing diversity and inclusion initiatives within the Group.
Through these efforts, the Group aims to go above and beyond the contributions that its mainstay corporate activities already make to society.
