1. What Is a Power Semiconductor?

Power semiconductors are used in electric power conversion devices such as inverters (from DC to AC) and converters (from AC to DC), as well as in devices that require conversion of voltage, current, or frequency.

2. Main Uses

The main customers for the Ryoyo Group’s power semiconductors are manufacturers of railway vehicles and photovoltaic (PV) systems. Railway vehicles require resistance to large currents and high voltages, while PV systems need to minimize power loss during power generation and electrical conversion.

3. Power Semiconductors Contribute to Society

As a key component in the devices and other equipment that our customers make, our power semiconductors reduce energy loss during power conversion and generation, thereby improving energy efficiency. This is just one of the ways that the Ryoyo Group helps to reduce the environmental impact of equipment to promote energy conservation and decarbonization.
